It's Homecoming and the gang is at the school dance. When Max's come out on stage. "Fellow students, I don't plan to take up much of your time. I just want to publicly thank my new best friend Maria Deluca and she knows why. To thank I have arranged for a dance, so without further a due hit the music DJ!".
A circle opened up on the dance floor, Maria walked out. Max made his way to her and whispered in her ear "You're the best, thanks". "Max I can't believe you!. You couldn't have done this for Liz!" Maria scolded half heartly. "Yeah but I knew you wouldn't be mad at me for putting you on the spot, now shut up and dance!" Max said while laughing.
In a corner of the dance floor Alex, Isabel, Tess, Kyle, Liz and Michael looked on. Michael and Liz were the one ones who had some issues with what was going on. Liz wished it was her, Max was going to dance with but was happy for Maria. Michael didn't like the way Max and Maria's "Friendship" was going, they looked more and more like a couple!.
The Dj started the music, it was siren like it called to your inner soul. The acoustic guitar, keyboards, percussion and angelic voice; Took Maria and Max to a place deep inside themselves.

After the song Maria held on to Max and said "Thank You for letting me be there!". Back in the corner, Liz had tears running down her face and if you looked really close Michael's eyes were a little misty. Both Liz and Michael knew that it is was they that put the pain in their loves hearts.
