continues to tell the tale which brought Michael and
Maria to Avonlea.

When Evil Has A Purpose!
-------------------
Chaos ruled in small doses, little things started to
happen around Avonlea. People were getting sick and
dying from causes unknown. Machines that had been
working for years, no longer worked. Mountains and
valleys that were rich in color, were now becoming
dull and pale. Avonlea was fast becoming a land of
disease and misery, it was no longer I loved and I
thought I could do nothing to stop it!
I had been doing my daily rounds of the palace, to
make sure that what was still working were running
smoothly. When I passed Nia's waiting chamber and over
heard voices. As I came closer to the door, I heard
Nia exchanging some cross words with Nic. "You will do
no such thing, you will continue to do as I say" Nic
was saying to Nia. "I am mated now!; I listen to my
mate not you, you have no right to rule me!". "Don't
be so full of yourself sister. What would your beloved
mate and his family think if they knew what you did?"
"You wouldn't dare!". "Wouldn't I! Tell me sister does
Velen know that you cheated?". "Of course not, don't
be stupid!". "Well wouldn't he like to know how you
went to Crow Kingdom and got ancient Crowin to give
you the essence of a tiger, to win the match!". "LAIR,
that was you!". "Tsk, tsk, tsk, really that's not how
I remember it!" Nic laughed at the shock and horror on
Nia's face.
I couldn't believe what I was hearing, how could Nia
have cheated in a sacred ritual. I wanted to bust in
an damned some answers, but decided to wait and hear
some more. "I followed your plan, I did as you said"
Nia was saying with tears in her eyes. "Yes but I am
not mated with Velea, so my plan has changed" Nic
replied. "I want 7th Kingdom, and you WILL help me"
Nic said. "How can I help you, when you are destroying
the very land you want!" Nia yelled. "Calm down Nia,
it is real simple, I don't just want the land I want
Velea as well" "She will never consent to being mate,
she cannot stand you". "Of course she will, she has no
other choice, it's either her and her kingdom or
nothing else!" Nic said.
"Nic, Velea can't hand you her kingdom until she is
Queen and for that Queen Velencia must be dead". "Nia
do you really think I don't know that, that little
issue is being taking care of as we speak, the King
and Queen will rule no longer!" Nic laughed. I was
sick to my stomach, I couldn't see straight, all I
knew was that I had to make it to my mother's
chamber's. I don't know how I made it but I did, just
in time to find Crowin bent over my mother. He was had
his right hand on her chest, and this glowing light
was been emitted out from his palm. He was sucking the
life force out of my mother's body, and into his
mouth. When I stab him with my dagger, but it went
right though him. I knew not what power this was, I
had never seen it before.
Crowin looked at me then, "Do you really think, you
can hurt me!". "I am Crowin, mystic master of all
things great and small, do you dare challenge ME!". "I
do dare, I am Princess Velea of the 7th Kingdom and I
will not allow you to harm my Queen!". "Spoken like a
true Princess, but you mean nothing to me". "Then why
are you doing this, if you are the Master why do you
take orders from Xonic?" I yelled while holding my
mother's weak body. "You silly child, I take orders
from no one. That fool believes I'm helping him, when
in truth I'm the one pulling the stings!. I have
waited a thousand years to be awoken, to be set free
from my imprisonment. How could I not help poor Nic.
When some greedy Xonican wakes me up and decides he
want the 7th kingdom, the very thing I want!" Crowin
explained.
I listened as Crowin continued to speak. "These
Kingdoms were once one great Kingdom, ruled by the
Crow. Until a warrior from the low lands decided that
the Crow were to greedy and evil to rule. So he and
his mate, took it upon themselves with their band of
followers to start an up rival in the land. This
warrior and his mate possessed powers equal to mine,
and because they were two that acted as one their
power was greater. They took my land and split it
amongst their head warriors. The best lands they kept
themselves, and the worst they give to me. I swore
that I would someday regain control, but just when I
thought revenge and victory were mine. I was found
out, and imprisoned in a deep sleep. Now I'm here and
I still want my lands. I'll be back Princess" With the
Crowin left.
As I sat on the floor, holding on to my mother I cried
out "How could this be happening to us!". It was then
my mother spoke, "Lea my child listen to me, your
father is dead. Your brother is weak, you are all that
is left to save the kingdoms". "Mother how can I save
the kingdoms from that monster". "Five hundred years
ago, your great ancestors who fought with Crowin. Knew
he would return, so when it was time for their
essences to start a new journey. They had made sure
that if ever needed we would be able to call their
essences back from where ever they were. Your father
and I had been keeping track of the essences for
sometime now. The essences which we called 'The Ones',
had been separated for years. Until now, they are
together again on the planet Earth. You must find
them, test them to make sure they are united, then
bring them here. They are the ones to put Crowin in
his place and heal what he has sickened in the lands.
Without them all is lost" Those were the last words
Queen Velencia spoke.
As Lea finished telling her tale, she looked up at
Michael and Maria. "You see you are 'The Ones', that I
have searched for. I need you to help me save the
kingdoms!" Lea said. "We can't be the ones, I have no
powers!" Maria stated. "But you do, the power is
within you. I have seen it and it is stronger with the
growth of your connection with Michael" Lea told
Maria. "Maria is right we aren't 'The Ones' you are
looking for, this is a mistake you need to send us
back!" Michael told Lea. "I will send you back but
please rethink this. Millions of lives depend on you
both, I cannot fight Crowin alone!" Lea said. "We
should give them time to think, your highness" "You
are right Les, we shall leave and give you time". "We
don't need time , we just need to go!" "Michael lets
just think about this!. You can go Lea, Les we'll be
fine" Maria said.
After Lea and Les left the meeting chamber, Michael
turned on Maria. "What do you mean lets think!. There
is nothing to think about we are living!" "Well from
what I gather Michael I can speak for myself. And I'm
staying!" "Like hell you are!". "Michael these people
think we can help and I want to help, I need to help.
So I'm not leaving till I have done everything I
possible can to save these people!". "What the hell do
you think we can do , we are not 'The Ones'!" "But
Michael what if we are?" Maria took Michael's hands
"But what if we are and we don't do a thing to save
them?". Michael looked at Maria and pulled her in for
an embrace, he breathe a sigh "I guess we're
staying!". "Thank you Michael" Maria said and kissed him.
