We Run For No One!

"Maria, please wake up!. You know I’ll do anything if you just wake up!" Michael had done everything her could not to jump out of his skin when Maria hadn't awakened from the ‘Mind Travel’, she took three weeks ago. In that time Michael had gone from: worry, angry, mad, rage, fear, and utter pain!. He wouldn’t leave her side, not once!. He looked worst then Maria did, bags under his eyes, unshaven face and well his hair looked the same{ the straight out of bed look }.
"Maria do you know how much I adore you or how much you mean to me?. No, I don’t think you do". Michael held on tight to Maria’s right hand as he thought back to that month when she went away to LA. with her Aunt Amber. It wasn’t a great time for him, not knowing if Maria would forgive him for walking away from her at the school courtyard. After she spilled her heart out for all the school to hear. And then when he finally had the guts to say what was really in his heart she left!.
That whole month she was gone he swore to learn how to control his powers. Make himself a man that Maria would be proud of someone she would be honored to call her love. In one month Michael felt so much apart of Maria that at sometimes he really thought he could hear her thoughts, funny thing is he was. How was he to know that it was Lea making him hear Maria. It a bit confusing though cause at the same time Michael was listening to the "The One Within", and....hold it!. "The One Within" that’s it! I haven’t heard from "The One Within" in months, why that?. {Because you haven’t needed me silly}. You’re back?. { I never left I’ve just let you have the driver’s sit }.
I still don’t know how I can talk to you but I could sure use your help right about now. { I know, but I was hoping you would remember how to locate Maria on your own }. Well as you can see that’s not happening so what must I do?. { Lay down beside her, now put your hands on both sides of her head. Now concentrate on her, concentrate on Maria. Once you sense her, I will anchor part of you here and the rest of you will get Maria form wherever she is}. Thank you, Michael said and then thought long and hard.
Michael felt some tingling in his hands then he sensed her. BOOM!, "Michael?". "Maria, I have been waiting for you, can we go back now!". "Oh Michael, I thought I’d never get out of here!. I realized I didn’t have enough energy to create another tunnel" said Maria as she hugged and kissed every inch of Michael’s face. "Where the heck are we anyway?" Michael asked. "Well I know we’re in a ‘Mind Tunnel’, but it’s like some frozen vortex that Corwin put me in" Maria replied. "Crowin did this to you?. Where is he, did he hurt?" A very fearful and angry Michael asked. "He tried to hurt me but I showed him, and sent his "I am Master of All" butt packing!" Maria said proudly. "Oh did you now, and how pray tell did you do that?" Michael asked with a smile creeping on his face after he realized Maria was unharmed. "I’ll tell you just as soon as we get back to the palace" Maria told Michael.
In the blink of a human eye they were back in Maria’s room back in Avonlea. To find a very worried Lea and Les looking down on them . "Are you two OK?. I came in to bring some food Michael when I realized you too had left us" Lea said. "We are fine, thank you both. But could we have a moment?" Maria asked. "But of course, we will be right outside" said Les.
"Maria what is it, are you not feeling well?" Michael asked. "No, Michael I’m fine I just to tell you some thing first before we let Lea & Les in, OK" Maria told him. "Look I got to thinking in the ‘Mind Tunnel’, and I think it’s time we fight Crowin now.!" . "What do you mean we fight Crowin ‘now’!". "We need to take control, we can’t let him decided when and where to fight. We are ‘The One’, and we are going to destroy him together!" said Maria with steel in her voice.
"I’m with you, when do we begin" Michael asked his blood thirsty warrior mate.
"Babe the fight has already began!" said Maria with a smile.
