We're Not In Kansas!

Ouch my head hurts! Opening her eyes Maria felt a
horrible blind pain of light flash. When her eyes
finally adjusted, she was amazed to see what lay
before her. Tall columns of gold and silver in swirls,
that lead up to nowhere. There were no ceilings just
endless sky, it must have been night for there were
millions of stars over head. The floors looked like
they were made of the finest black porcelain.
Everything was breathe taking, even the bed she lay
on. Maria glided her hands of the fabric of the
comforter. Could she be dreaming or was this real
SILK!. "Why I must of died and go to heaven!" she
thought. "Wait!" Maria sat up straight "I did die".
"No you didn't" said the woman that came walking
toward Maria. They woman like this place was
beautiful, she had long puffy baby blue hair. With
matching eyes, smooth caramel colored skin. She had a
body that would even give Isabel a run for her money.
And her lips were what Alex would call 'kiss able'.
Was this what Angels looked liked, Maria wonder. "Who
are you, and where is Michael Guerin?" . "Well I'm Lea
and your partner is in the male's quarters" Lea
replied. She had seen to it the Maria was placed in
her room and dressed in the finest materials this side
of Avonlea. Lea was so happy to finally have 'The
Ones' here, she could hardly stand it. Soon they will
help her in the fight to free her people from the
wrong doing MaxonicKingdom!.
"MARIA", Michael awoke in a pool of sweat. Where the
hell was he and where was Maria he wonder. Michael
wasn't taking in his surroundings, yes it was very
beautiful. However beauty only goes so far before it
fades away to show it's true self. He though back the
comforter to find himself dressed in midnight blue
pajamas.
He moved pasted the tall columns, walking straight
towards the massive doors. Upon opening the right
door, Michael was greeted by a tall man. The man was
very tall about 7'2 any day, Michael was sure of it.
The guy's hair was hot pink and so were his eyes. His
skin was a light forest green and his body was all
muscle, that was the only reason Michael didn't push
past him. "Who are you and where is Maria?" Michael
asked none to kindly. "I am Veles, and your partner is
safe she is with Princess Velea in the High Kingdom"
Veles replied. Veles looked at the 'Earth Dweller' Lea
had chosen to help the Kingdom. He didn't look like he
could save a village let alone a Kingdom, but if Lea
chose him and the girl then they had to have some type
of strabngth.
"I will take you to your partner when the Princess is
ready for you, until then you will come with me" Veles
said. "And why should I listen to you and not just go
looking for Maria myself?" Michael asked . "You seem
like a smart person?, do you honestly think you would
find her?" Michael shake his head left to right "I
didn't think so , she will be fine , I give my word as
a warrior!" Veles finished. Then Veles signaled
someone to bring Michael some new clothes and to lead
him to a wash.
"Maria, do you mind if I call you Ria?" Lea asked "No
go right ahead,just as long as I can ask you some
questions?" "Sure be my guest and ask, I just hope I
have all the answers you seek!" "Well for one, how is
it we are speaking the same language?" "Oh we're not!;
You see when I brought you here, I implanted a chip
behind your right ear" Lea said . "So this implant
makes us speak the same language?" "No, it just lets
you understand my tongue, I understand yours". Lea
said and she went on "When I brought your "souls"?,
yes I think that's the right word, over here I had the
chips placed in your body before your soul
materialized into solid matter form" Lea explained.
"Wait a minute, materialized? Last thing I remember, I
was at a party then I blackout to find myself and
Michael dead cause there was this bright light. We
walked though and then I was here" Maria finished
saying while trying to catch her breathe. "Well it's
like this "your body is still alive and back on your
planet, it's just your spirit that's here" Lea
explained. "I'm in a coma?" Maria was stunned, why
should she be stunned nothing in her life had been
"normal" for the longest. "I guess that's what you'd
call it, I needed to get you and your partner here
somehow. That's why I had to make you two in sink
with each other. You know the 'hearing each other's
thought's thing, it was all so I could "grab" you both
at the same time" "Oh, so that was you" Maria said
feeling a little hurt, secretly she had hoped it was
cause she and Michael had a connection, instead it was
just some alien voodoo!
"OK next question, Why are we here?" Maria wanted to
get to the point. Lea laughed "I was wondering when
you were going to ask that and I will tell you soon as
I send for your partner". "Just call him Michael, you
don't have to keep saying my partner". "I'm sorry if I
have offended you it's just that we here in Avonlea
don't call someone else's partner by name unless they
are a unit". "A unit? You mean like Married?" "Yes,
married that's it". "Oh well please just call him
Michael. OK". "Sure I'll do as you ask, but now lets
go to my meeting chamber". Lea got up off the pillows
she and Maria had be sitting on , since Maria had come
from her wash. There they had eaten a meal made just
for Maria, pancakes & sausages a replica of earth
food.
"So Les the Princess wants me and Maria to do
something for her that's why we are here" Michael
asked. It had been established during breakfast that
Michael was to call Veles, Les. Michael enjoyed his
meal with the bonus Tabasco sauce bottle. But try as
he might Michael couldn't or wouldn't relax until he
saw and touched Maria. A messenger was sent not to
long ago to fetch them and they were on there way now
to the Princess' meeting chamber. "Yes that is what
the Princess want's , I just can not tell you exactly
what" Les replied.
During their meals, Les got to know this Michael of
Lea's. He was surprised to find a true warriors heart
beat in him. Yes this 'Earth Dweller' has the right
stuff needed to do battle, Les just hoped so did the
dweller's partner!
